Description The Shift Supervisor is a leadership-level position responsible for overseeing all operations during a shift, including kitchen production, logistics and QA, and team supervision. This role requires full proficiency in both the Catering Logistics & QA Coordinator and Cook 3 roles, and the ability to step into either function as needed. The Shift Supervisor leads the shift with authority, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety, training, and team development. Position Requirements: - Completion of Cook 3 and Catering Logistics & QA Coordinator training - ServSafe Manager Certification (required) - ServSafe Allergen Certification (required) - CPR Certification (required) - Minimum 3–5 years experience in culinary, logistics, or foodservice operations - Experience supervising staff and handling shift leadership responsibilities Key Responsibilities: - Supervise all kitchen and delivery operations during assigned shifts - Ensure food quality, accuracy, labeling, and on-time delivery coordination - Perform or oversee logistics, driver routing, POD updates, and store runs - Perform or assist in advanced food production, packaging, and QA sign-off - Lead shift planning, order prioritization, and team communication - Use Paylocity to schedule staff, submit journal entries, and approve timecards - Conduct interviews, onboard new hires, and participate in performance reviews - Ensure all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards are followed - Document coaching, recognition, and corrective action as needed Requirements Performance Expectations: - Maintains accountability for shift success and team readiness - Demonstrates calm and effective leadership under pressure - Supports staff training, mentorship, and performance improvement - Completes administrative duties timely and accurately Reports To: Reports to the General Manager. Works collaboratively with the Executive Chef for culinary quality, food safety, and kitchen leadership alignment.
