For more information visit us at www.pactgroup.com Qualifications About this opportunity Pact Recycling have opportunities for Shift Supervisor to join the Production team at our Wacol recycling plant. There are roles available on night shift, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime on weekends too. The Shift Supervisor has day-to-day accountability for managing the team of Machine Operators, supporting maintenance activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to safely deliver the shift production targets. Your key responsibilities will be to: Ensure the safety of all employees through safety briefings and toolbox talks, regular safety inspections and audits of work areas and equipment and ensuring incident and near-miss reporting is completed promptly. Work with the Production Supervisor to deliver on daily and weekly production schedule, achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT. Ensure measures are in place for all employees to perform at their best at the start of each shift. Ensure that all Operators understand and follow the Site SOPs. Hold Operators accountable for achieving all Quality standards. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards during their shift. Build the capability of the team through monitoring skills and maintaining training schedules, escalating to Production Supervisor to upskill and train the team when needed. Actively participate with meaningful feedback at start up and handover time on all production related activity. Escalate any issues through Production Supervisor to sales and logistics to ensure customer delivery on-time. Be an active member of the operations team through open & honest communication. Your skills and experience Ideally have a background in plastics recycling Worked in a similar industrial based manufacturing business Sound background in managing and leading small teams Worked in a 24/5 environment Lean manufacturing experience Additional Information Qualification Requirements Relevant trade background, (e.g. Boilermaker, fitter) FLT license Has to be Citizen, Permanent Resident or updated work visa in Australia
