Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to deliver a smooth and safe shift on the ERF. To organise resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to best effect prioritising the wellbeing of our people and efficiency of the plant.
  • With an emphasis on moving into a role on days, acting as a liason between ERF operations and the Operations + Maintenance managers
  • Responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of a modern Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility, maximising performance whilst maintaining all environmental standards.
  • Acting as the “Senior Authorised Person” on shift and managing the activities of the operational shift and energy recovery facility operatives.
  • Managing the activities of the Mechanical Pre-Treatment plant and operatives when the in the position of Day Shift Team Leader and when on shift outside normal working hours.
  • Operate/monitor the supply of steam to the Energy Centre and the operation of the Energy Centre equipment, (Heat exchanger skids, HP condensate return tank, and pumps, all pipework and associated equipment.
  • Assist the OM with VMR auditing, reporting and training/health organisation (liaising between departments)
  • Lead on Outage preparation and running
  • Manage the ERF OM&A’s
  • Covering other roles during training etc
