In a dynamic working environment you are responsible for the daily maintenance and operational activities during the shift and you are also closely involved in the further technical development of the team. At a glance As a Shift Leader at our Van Gelder site, you combine hands-on technical work with team coordination in a dynamic operational environment. You play a key role in ensuring system performance and continuity, while acting as the primary contact for the customer during your shift. This role stands out because of its mix of technical responsibility, leadership, and direct customer interaction. Your impact Ensure all maintenance and operational activities during your shift are executed safely and effectively Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system malfunctions Act as the first point of contact for the customer and Global Service Desk during incidents and escalations Lead and coordinate the shift team, making technical decisions and guiding daily operations Monitor and ensure correct registration and follow-up in CMMS (DOS Maximo) Drive continuous improvement in processes, system performance, and team capabilities Coordinate planned and unplanned activities to ensure timely completion of all maintenance tasks What makes you a great fit? MBO level 3 (or higher) in a technical field, or comparable experience Proven experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance within a technical environment Strong problem-solving skills and affinity with control systems Confident communicator who can lead a team and make decisions under pressure Proactive, hands-on mindset with a focus on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement What you can look forward to This position offers a monthly salary range from €3.200 up to €4.000 with opportunities to grow beyond based on performance.
