Unite Contracting is looking for a Ship Repair Electrician to join our team in Tampa, Florida. While the position is based in Tampa, we are actively welcoming applications from skilled electricians in Panama City and nearby Gulf Coast areas who are open to relocating or commuting.
This is a permanent, on-site role focused on service and maintenance for commercial marine vessels in the Tampa port area.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5–7 years of marine electrical experience
• Competence with marine power distribution and motor controls
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local Tampa ports
• Proficiency reading wiring diagrams and using electrical tools
• No offshore or dockside-only roles—this is vessel-based marine work

• Conduct service calls and perform repairs on tugboats, push boats, and crew boats
• Install and troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, switchboards, alarms, and panels
• Terminate cables, mount equipment, and hook up power systems
• Test and troubleshoot using standard electrical diagnostic tools
• Perform insulation resistance measurements and advise on repairs
• Maintain and requisition parts inventory
