Description Position Summary : Assists the Production Control Assistant to perform all shipment processing activities, preparing paperwork, data entry in the system and inventory control. Benefits package: After 30 calendar days: · Medical – Company pays 90% for Employee and 50% family. · Dental - Company covers 90 % for employee. · Vision · Life insurance, Voluntary Life, Long- term Disability & Short-Term Disability · Christmas bonus · Paid holidays · Sick days · Paid vacation · 401K immediate eligibility - Company matches 100% , up to 4% of the employee earnings · Training · Wellness program discounts After 1 yr : · Tuition reimbursement Main responsibilities: -Preparing paperwork for outgoing shipments including packing slips, ( BOL) Bill of Lading and special labels when required per the scheduled shipment list. - Generate UPS & FedEx labels when required. - Work with customer service on expedited shipping releases. - Scheduling carrier pickups via phone or email with multiple freight carriers. - Maintain upmost awareness of the total backlog to be filled. - Verify and control finished goods inventory level. - Complete all outside service functions. This includes routing all paperwork, part counts, receiving and expediting. - Notifying production control of any inbound Outside Service discrepancies or issues. - Assist Shipping Supervisor when necessary. - Practice and enforce safety and neatness. - Production counts. - Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Control Assistant, and assume other responsibilities not outlined herein, but which are logically inherent to your function. Requirements Relevant shipping and receiving experience Experience with packing slips, BOL ( Bill of Lading) and expediting High School diploma, GED or equivalent required Experience shipping via UPS / Fedex preferred Ability to engage with manufacturing personnel to resolve production discrepancies Experience managing inventory counts Highly detailed oriented and organized Data Entry & experience with ERP systems Good mathematical skills Basic knowledge of MS Office & computer literate Good communication skills Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Bilingual ( English/Spanish) is a plus 1st Shift : 6:00 am – 4:30 pm ( M – F)
Responsibilities
The Shipment Processing Clerk prepares paperwork for outgoing shipments and generates shipping labels. They also verify inventory levels and assist with production counts and other duties as assigned.
