Description

This position is responsible for the transaction, receipt and shipment of goods foreign and domestic and maintaining accurate documentation on all transactions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to update order entry system with current shipments and prepare packing lists along with C of C’s with each statement.
  • Must be able to receive material into the ERP system against open purchase orders and communicate receiving issues to escalation paths.
  • Maintains an inventory of all required shipping materials.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for supplies as needed.
  • Performs special packaging to insure delivery of a protected quality product.
  • Responsible for keeping shelves stocked with various supplies at all times.
  • Follows established safety procedures and reports.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • May be required to pick up and deliver materials and/or product to customer or supplier locations in company vehicle.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related Shipping experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, multi task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills a plus- Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel-Typing and/or Data Entry skills desired.
  • Valid driver’s license
