Job Description
The Shipper / Receiver job description includes but is not limited to the following:
Pull material from maturation when approved by Quality Lab Put in rotation in cold room Loading trucks: Ensure material is shipped in sequentially numbered rotation beginning with the earliest date and roll / festoon number Remove material with HOLD tickets so they aren’t shipped. Scan loads for shipment
Internal plants
Outside sales- Turn in scan sheets for QAD paperwork as required
Print Shipping papers Put loads into QAD, except for month end, first work day Make sure loads do not exceed 44,000 lbs. gross weight Be sure the trucks wheels are chocked
Insure proper labeling before shipping Hazardous materials Load truck Incoming material: Check to see that truck wheels are chocked Visually check incoming materials for damage If damaged, notify immediate supervisor Unload truck Label all incoming material as required with hold tickets and complete receiving check sheet Place in holding area Rotate stock, FIFO (First In First Out) Check paper work before signing Set following shift up- at a MINIMUM the next two trucks needs scanned and staged. Pack outside sales/special items for shipping as required to ensure full trailers (40,000 to 44,000 lbs). Keep floors clean and tidy Each shift- Inspect fork truck and fill out inspection sheet
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, DOT Training and Fork Lift Qualification.
