Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Shipper/Receiver will be a key member of our Shipping & Receiving team. You’ll ensure the smooth, accurate, and timely flow of goods in and out of our facility, supporting both internal operations and external customer commitments. This role combines hands-on logistics, customer interaction, and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Coordinate all shipping, receiving, and material handling activities to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring documentation is complete and shipments are properly packaged, loaded, and tracked.
  • Communicate proactively with customers, suppliers, project managers, and the materials manager to support on-time deliveries.
  • Inspect outgoing goods to confirm quality standards and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely to move and load heavy or oversized materials.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare shipping documents using ERP systems (GP Dynamics preferred), Outlook calendars, and Excel (including macros/VBA).
  • Oversee inventory of shipping supplies and conduct quality audits prior to final shipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies or documentation issues.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
