The Tempur Sealy manufacturing site in Trinity, NC is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver. The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for a variety of duties to support receiving product and warehouse storage. JOB DUTIES: * Using forklift, unloads in-coming shipments off of trailers * Receives all incoming goods * Verifies bills of lading, inspects for damage and directs distribution to designated storage area * Follow all safety guidelines, able to operate forklift in a safe, efficient manner * Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device * Maintains and cleans assigned work area Qualifications Basic Requirements: * 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. * 1+ years of Forklift experience * Minimum 18 years of age * Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual. * Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel. * Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency. * Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
