Description

Surepoint is seeking a dedicated and organized Shipper/Receiver to manage the daily flow of parts and materials at our branch in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of components and maintaining an efficient warehouse operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and maintain a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Forklift training is an asset; however, training will be provided if needed.
  • Able to understand and accurately process paperwork as required.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving, signing for, and inspecting incoming parts and components, ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of all associated paperwork.
  • Wrapping and securing parts for delivery, determining the most efficient method of shipment, and preparing bills of lading, invoices, and other necessary shipping documents.
  • Completing pick-up and delivery of parts, materials, and tools as required.
  • Assisting with picking, preparing, and staging orders for technicians from various locations, including the warehouse and yard.
  • Overseeing the safe loading and unloading of goods from trucks and other conveyances, primarily utilizing a forklift.
  • Working closely with the parts department to ensure all required parts are properly stocked and organized on shelves.
  • Maintaining an organized warehouse, including general shop maintenance such as sweeping and cleaning shop floors as required, and general yard maintenance and cleanup.
  • Identifying and actively problem-solving warehouse-related issues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Consistently wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and strictly observing all Health & Safety policies.
  • Actively participating in Surepoint’s Health & Safety Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
