JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipper/Receiver to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving processes within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and the use of warehouse management systems.
Shifts: 12hour rotating shift from 8pm-8am

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as a Shipper/Receiver
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating the Counterbalance and Reach
  • Must have a valid forklift licence
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Valid G licence with a good driving record

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring product accuracy, good condition, and proper labeling
  • Operate forklifts to move shipments between shipping/receiving, storage areas, and transport vehicles
  • Assist with inventory control tasks such as bin maintenance and cycle counting as needed
  • Accurately count and inspect all incoming goods; compare deliveries with the receiving documents (bills of lading, invoices, and packing slips) and make sure they match
  • Unpack deliveries, check for damage or shortages, and report any discrepancies to management for resolution
  • Safely operate forklifts or hand trucks to move goods from the receiving area to designated stock or work areas.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support warehouse operations
