Description

Overlanders Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Shipper-Receiver to join our shipping team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with excellent attendance, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Forklift Certification is considered an asset but not required.
  • 1+ year of experience operating a stand-up forklift is an asset.
  • Able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations and standard software tools used for documentation and communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep workspaces, records, and processes well-organized.
Responsibilities
  • Transport materials and components throughout the facility to support production and shipping workflows.
  • Organize and prepare parts, packages, and pallets for shipment, ensuring accuracy and readiness for dispatch.
  • Ensure all required shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and properly included with outgoing shipments.
  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage, reporting discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Match received items to purchase orders and submit accurate receiving documentation to the Purchasing department.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free shipping and receiving area.
  • Follow all established safety and quality protocols during shipping and receiving activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Shipping Coordinator to support departmental goals.
  • Provide support with shipping coordinator responsibilities during their absence:
  • Coordinate and schedule shipments.
  • Maintain shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduler to ensure priority orders are shipped promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform daily inspections of the forklift and delivery truck to ensure operational safety.
  • Notify the Operations Manager or Maintenance Supervisor of any equipment issues or concerns
  • Monitor scrap bins and coordinate pickups when bins reach capacity.
  • Request and maintain inventory of shipping and receiving supplies such as shrink wrap, pallets, tape, and cartons.
