We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, attention to detail and time management. This position supports functions of the shipping department to ensure a smooth and timely operation of outgoing product. This position works closely with management and the workers in the warehouse as well as customer service personnel. Duties may vary to include all or some of the following job responsibilities. Role Responsibilities: Assist in coordinating, organizing and loading outgoing shipments in order to keep to daily schedule. Communicates continuously with all individuals in the department to monitor shipment status, and ensure priorities are known and carried out to satisfy Customer demands. Operates a forklift to move and load shipments. Responsible for handling shipping documentation, including accurate log keeping of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Assists in the preparation of invoices and lists of items as needed. Provides customer service and serves in an administrative capacity when needed. Assists in special and scheduled physical inventories. Always maintains a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and removing trash. Performs other duties as assigned. Customer service experience preferred. Prior warehouse experience in the shipping department required. Forklift experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred. Proficiency in ERP and Warehouse Management Systems preferred. Understand the daily work schedule and delivery requirements and perform work to achieve on time/accurate delivery. Well organized, with the ability to track multiple activities involving numerous details. Willingness to be part of a team. Ability to work independently with a minimum of oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be able to continuously lift and move up to 75 pounds Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body.
