Position Title: Shipping 1 (Rotating Shift) Department: Shipping / Warehouse Location: St. Francisville, LA Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper 1 to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, loading, and shipping finished paper products in accordance with customer orders and company standards. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities * Pick, stage, and load finished paper products according to shipping orders and schedules. * Verify product types, quantities, and condition to ensure accurate shipments. * Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. * Inspect products for damage before loading and report any issues immediately. * Complete all required shipping paperwork and system entries accurately and on time. * Communicate and coordinate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations. * Assist with unloading and receiving incoming shipments as needed. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols. * Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor. * Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management. Qualifications & Skills * High school diploma or GED preferred. * Previous shipping, warehouse, or material handling experience is a plus. * Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required. * Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders. * Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. * Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy products (up to 50 lbs). * Comfortable working in an industrial warehouse environment. * Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong focus on safety and adherence to company policies. Work Conditions * May involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures. * Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. * Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
