JOB SUMMARY

Shipping and Receiving is a multi-faceted position responsible for accepting inbound shipments of turbine engine components from around the world and the requirements of preparing repaired components for outbound shipping.
Inbound shipments must be tracked, inspected, and documented for the next step in the repair process. Outbound shipments follow a detailed written process to ensure the inspection, packaging and safe handling of the critical turbine engine component is accomplished.
The position performs its primary functions in a climate-controlled and modern state-of-the-art facility. Through our extensive in-house training program, the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer based and hands-on training, the skills of the position. As your skills increase, so will your responsibilities, giving you hands-on experience, growth, and additional responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A minimum of one year’s experience in any type of shipping, receiving or warehouse capacity.
  2. Experience in the use of overhead cranes, pallet jacks forklifts/lift trucks.
  3. Exposure to domestic and/or international shipping of parts.
  4. Ability or experience following directions and reading work instructions.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school or technical school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  3. Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
  4. Careful attention to detail.
  5. Capable of handling multiple tasks
Responsibilities
  1. Receive all incoming parts, sign receipts, review documentation and requested work scope and record accurately.
  2. Unpack and inspect inbound parts. Report and document any discrepancies or damage to the inbound part.
    Verify part numbers, serial numbers, and manifest for accuracy.
  3. Prepare required paperwork and documentation folder for next step processing of inbound part.
  4. Move part and associated documentation folder(s) to the next operation or warehouse part for future work.
  5. Use pallet jacks, skids, overhead cranes and forklifts (lift trucks) to move inbound and outbound parts.
  6. Perform outbound part documentation review, package part for sipping using detailed instruction sheets, ensure quality control aspects and inspection of the outbound parts have been accomplished. Record as required.
  7. Take digital photos to document condition of and/or damage to part on inbound processing and on outbound shipping to document condition of the part shipped to ensure quality control standards.
  8. Display a positive attitude and degree of professionalism as this position may interact with multiple departments across the company.
