Description SUMMARY: The Shipping & Receiving Associate – DC is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control, efficient order fulfillment, and timely shipping and receiving. This role coordinates activities between warehouse staff, inventory systems, and transportation partners to support smooth and cost-effective operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping · Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery · Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) · Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories · Prepare and process shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, labels) · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures · Assist with warehouse organization and cleanliness OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve issues · Assist with staffing schedules and workflow planning · Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors · Other duties as assigned Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment Strong organizational and time management skills Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience coordinating warehouse staff or leading daily operations Experience with WMS, ERP systems, or inventory software Basic computer skills (Excel, email, data entry) Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and reconciliation Knowledge of shipping regulations, freight documentation, and carrier coordination KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong attention to detail and adaptability to handle several tasks simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, SharePoint, and Teams. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Must be available to travel to customer and/or company locations as required. Flexibility to work past normal business hours as necessary.
