QUALIFICATIONS SOUHAITÉES :

  • Permis de cariste valide.
  • 2 ans ou plus d’expérience en entrepôt.
  • Maîtrise de l’utilisation des chariots élévateurs, transpalettes, balances de comptage, bacs, rayonnages, échelles, chariots de préparation, matériaux d’emballage, palettes et lecteurs de codes-barres.
  • Expérience avec des outils manuels et électriques.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for executing all activities related to the shipment and receipt of goods, preparation of shipping documentation, transportation planning, and material handling. This role supports Eaton’s Lachine satellite site, one of six locations across Canada complementing our medium and large manufacturing facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse/logistics or material handling experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid forklift license.
  • 2+ years warehouse experience.
  • Proficiency with forklifts, hand trucks, counting scales, bins, storage racks, ladders, packing carts, packaging materials, pallets, and barcode readers.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving and basic math proficiency.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities
  • Pick parts for site orders, deliver to workstations, and store according to proper sequence and coding for timely reporting of Balance on Hand (BOH) transactions.
  • Load parts onto pallets or carts for transport.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying parts and quantities.
  • Assist in locating materials and handling internal inquiries.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, package and strap outgoing shipments.
  • Load and unload shipments using a forklift into/out of truck trailers.
  • Place inventory throughout the warehouse in designated locations.
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventories, ensuring accurate counts.
  • Keep the loading dock organized and ready for receiving shipments.
  • Maintain Kanban parts system for the shipping/receiving department.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Dispose of scrap materials efficiently.
  • Uphold daily 5S practices and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work from written/verbal instructions, pick documents, and established routines.
  • Support a team environment that aligns with Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and continuous improvement culture.
