JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining organized inventory records, and ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment. In addition to primary shipping and receiving duties, this role will serve as a backup delivery driver and provide occasional shop support, including sheet metal bending or prep work as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required for backup delivery duties.
• Familiarity with order picking, packing, and fulfillment processes.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely load and unload products.
• Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders according to specifications.
• Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
• Coordinate with customers for will-call orders and ensure timely pickups.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory counts and stock levels.
• Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and condition.

SECONDARY DUTIES

• Serve as a backup delivery driver, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers.
• Assist in the shop with light fabrication tasks, including sheet metal bending, cutting, or preparation work.
• Support other warehouse or production team members as needed.
