Day (United States of America) Shipping and Receiving Clerk This individual receives, ships, and delivers a wide variety of supplies and equipment. Inputs receiving into computer and prints delivery documents. Responsible for solutions to invoice discrepancies with department, vendor, and Accounts Payable. Responsible for all receivables until they reach their destination. - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. - Sufficient experience to acquire a general knowledge of hospital supplies. - One year experience in shipping and receiving. - Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and have a good driving record. - Good mathematical skills required along with good oral and written communication skills. - Ability to input receiving transactions into computer and output logs of daily transactions. - Ability to operate an electric pallet jack. - Unload delivery trucks and verify number of carton received on Bill of Lading. - Inspect all cartons for visual damage before approving receipt. - Verify received items against packing list and complete input into computer. - Mark all cartons with P.O. number and department destination. - Deliver supplies and obtain authorized signature when applicable. - Maintain files of all packing lists and signed delivery documents. - Work with Accounts Payable to resolve problems involving invoice discrepancies. - Handle all merchandise returns. Work with department, vendor and Accounts Payable to complete necessary paperwork to ensure proper credit. - Prepares all outgoing items for shipping. - Fills and delivers supply requisitions. - Monitors inventory levels and notifies supervisor when reorders are needed. - Take inventory on gases monthly to verify computer count. - Maintain cleanliness of work area. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
