We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this fast-paced environment, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for preparing goods for shipment, receiving delivered goods, and maintaining the accuracy of shipment logs. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, operate independently and as part of a team, and be detail oriented.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel.
- Ability to handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Previous forklift experience is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods.
- Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
- Determine methods of shipment – air and ground.
- Maintain accuracy of internal record-keeping system by scanning shipments.
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Pack goods to be shipped.
- Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments.
- Unpack goods received.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents.
- Assemble containers and crates.
- Route goods to appropriate warehouse storage areas using dollies and pump trucks.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
