POSITION SUMMARY:

High-technology manufacturing company seeks independent individual to perform shipping and receiving duties.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of two years shipping and receiving experience required. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Knowledge of UPS and FedEx logistics shipping software a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interfaces with ERP system to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Works with multiple freight carriers such as Fed Ex and UPS.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Pick kits for shipping and production work orders using scales, counters, and hand counting parts and assemblies.
• Maintains inventory integrity, following standard inventory functions including Cycle Counting and participating in regular Inventories.
• Must be able to handle and move packages up to 50 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned
