Objectives of this role We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of materials and products. This role involves coordinating logistics, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities: Offloading steel and pallet deliveries Receiving and verifying materials to purchase orders Filling out and referencing detailed forms Staging and organizing items for storage/production/shipping Facilitating movements of material and finished assets in and out of production Pulling and preparing parts and assets to ship complete Load planning/staging for shipments Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes to safely achieve objectives Qualifications and Experiences: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus. Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with inventory management software and shipping procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
