• Supporting the primary day-to-day operations in the shipping/receiving department, including packaging boxes, arranging shipments, receiving inbound packages and freight, and any other daily tasks.
• Coordinating with other members inside and outside of the organization including suppliers, vendors, shipping companies, and warehouse managers to ensure all shipments are delivered on time.
• Coordinating with Supply Chain Management to identify and resolve any issues causing disruptions to the supply chain.
• Managing freight companies inbound and outbound shipments, searching for the best rates and/or best delivery times based on the shipment.
• Adjust my Lam Delivery Dates based on Need Dates to ship appropriately through TMS in order of soonest Need Date.
• Receive, off-load, and organize incoming supplies from vendors. Work closely with 5S Lead to ensure that supplies are distributed throughout the shop to the appropriate locations and in a timely manner.
• Work within any MRO procedure that is developed by the Supply Chain team. Support and help maintain the MRO procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Utilize department filing system to record and maintain all shipped freight logs, signed bill of lading and cargo manifests.
• Create systems by which the shipping/receiving department functions better and more efficiently in an effort towards continuous improvement.
