Description

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for the leadership of the order fulfillment area. efficient processing of garments that are received, need to be packaged, and need to be shipped. Ensuring that garments meet Keener Jersey’s quality standards prior to being made available to our awesome customers is another key responsibility for this role.

Shipping & Receiving Supervisor Daily Priorities

  • Planning: Develop daily plan for receiving, processing orders from Production, staffing requirements.
  • Receiving Products: Assist with receiving jerseys, fabric. Tracking and updating systems.
  • Production Order Prep: Ensure orders are ready for production.
  • Shipping: Manage shipment of scheduled orders to ensure all required orders go out as scheduled (What exactly do they do in ‘Shipping’).
  • Supervision: Ensure staff meet or exceed Keener Standards.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop daily plans and priorities for order reception, fulfillment, and shipping
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the Shippers / Receivers for daily tasks:
  • Count and inspect garments that have been received; clean / reject damaged garments
  • Prepare garments for production (I.E. remove from plastic, hang, attach production documents)
  • Ensure all systems are updated as events occur
  • Count and inspect garments that have been completed by production
  • Assemble and prepare packaging materials
  • Assist the Logistics Coordinator with making shipping arrangements, including the production of the necessary paper work
  • Complete notification to internal stakeholders when orders are completed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse area
  • Keener Standards
  • Work with Operations management to develop and enhance Keener Standards for operations
  • Provide coaching to staff to ensure they are adhering to Keener Standards
  • Track and report metrics regarding these standards
  • Ensure staff are trained on and follow operations procedures, such as:
  • Receiving
  • Preparing garments for production
  • Quality control
  • Packing
  • Shipping
  • Ensure that systems and tracking sheets are updated
  • Ensure that all Shipper / Receiver tasks are completed - or perform them in their absence

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma
  • At least one year of shipping / receiving supervisory experience
  • Computer literacy

  • Regular hours are M-F 8:30am to 4:30pm with 30-min lunch and breaks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
