Shipping and Receiving Position Overview Incumbents in this role are responsible for shipping and receiving. Employees in this role have advanced knowledge and familiarity with plant-wide production, purchasing and maintenance activities to facilitate the appropriate stocking and issuing of MRO items. Shipping and Receiving Essential Functions * Timely & Accurate shipment of customer material to meet delivery specifications. * Accurate inventory. * Proper unloading, receiving and storage of materials. * Receiving: Responsible for accurately receiving material into inventory. Unload and store material in proper locations and perform receiving transactions. Issue material to plant wide personnel and accurately perform system transactions. * Shipping: Set up orders & load trucks with products to meet delivery dates. Pick and pack product in an efficient manner for less than truckload. shipments. Perform shipping transactions for various computer applications. * Communicate potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing. * Other duties as assigned. Shipping and Receiving Required Experience * Working knowledge of PC and Windows operating system. * Communication skills. * Organization and attention to detail. * Computer Skills. * Excellent forklift/material handling skills. * Basic math skills for verification of receipt quantities. * Working knowledge of applicable receiving and inventory computer transactions for update capability. * Functional knowledge of additional receiving and inventory applications for information review only. * Good problem-solving skills. * Good communication skills. Shipping and Receiving Physical Demands and Work Environment * The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. * The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts. * Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds. * Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms. * Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear. * Ability to use hand tools. * Ability to read applicable instructions. Responsibilities

Responsible for the timely and accurate shipment of customer materials and the proper receiving and storage of MRO items. This includes performing system transactions for inventory updates and coordinating with purchasing to resolve supply problems.
