Description GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Shipping Associate is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders while supporting production operations as needed. This position plays an important role in ensuring both production and shipping activities are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. The role requires flexibility to work across departments based on business needs and production priorities. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Shipping Duties • Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment according to work instructions and customer requirements. • Create packing lists and export documentation as needed. • Verify shipment accuracy, including product, quantities, labeling, and documentation. • Maintain organized shipping and staging areas. Production Duties • Assist with packaging and labeling operations in a production environment. • Operate production equipment and machinery according to training and SOPs. • Conduct quality inspections to verify products meet company specifications and standards. • Follow standard operating procedures, quality guidelines, and workplace safety requirements. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Cross-train and work in other departments as needed. • Communicate production or shipping issues to supervisors. • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles. • Work overtime as needed to meet customer delivery schedules. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education: • High School diploma or GED. Experience: • Two to three years of experience in shipping, receiving, or manufacturing preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES 1. A high level of flexibility with job functions and ability to accept change. 2. Ability to research, analyze and problem solve. 3. Good communication skills, written and verbal. 4. Ability to read and understand documents and procedures. 5. Ability to work independently using good judgement and problem-solving skills. 6. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. 7. Demonstrated ability to use basic math skills. 8. Must be conscientious and have a high level of attention to detail. 9. Good organizational and time management skills 10. Basic computer skills, MS Word, Excel and Outlook 11. Works with a sense of urgency 12. Ability to learn new programs. 13. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. 14. Able to work overtime as needed to ensure on time delivery.
