Description
The Shipping Associate collaborates directly with the team coordinator and department supervisor to ensure customer product is shipped on time, as specified with all required documentation. This position is key to company quality standards. Vanguard EMS, Inc. is in the service business. What you’ll do: Package PCBA’s, High Level Assemblies (HLA’s), and other materials to be shipped. Arrange for pick-up of materials and delivery per customer set-up. Assure appropriate documentation included with all shipments. Perform computer transactions and documentation for all shipments. May move materials using a Forklift. Drive continuous improvement by looking for opportunities for improvement and working projects Maintain a clean and organized area and perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: Demonstrate ability to work accurately with numbers required. Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements. Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner Education and/or Experience High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Inventory Control experience Preferred Qualifications Shipping experience for 1 year or greater Experience with UPS and FedEx software MRP knowledge and/or experience PCBA manufacturing experience While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.
