We are seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position is on 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing documentation and perform all clerical functions to meet or exceed customer delivery expectations. . They are also responsible for checking to ensure orders are correctly completed and support daily warehouse operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately identify, handle and prepare production orders for shipment. Understand HYDAC Quality Policy and Quality Objectives as related to this position. Post goods, issues deliveries, print packing lists, create bill of ladings and other paperwork associated with shipments. Assure product is packaged and labeled according to instructions/requirements. Process shipments using UPS, DHL, AIT, FEDEX and LTL, Hazmat, Hot shots, Etc shipments. Respond to emails in a timely manner. Clear communication skills written and verbal with internal and external departments, customers, services, Etc. Create and maintain (update) any new or existing work in a timely manner. Observe safety rules, housekeeping requirements and other company policies and work-rules. Operate mobile equipment including fork lift and pallet jack. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedures, government regulation, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment. Ability to understand and operate PC equipment running under Microsoft Windows Format. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required HAZ-Mat Training. Fork Lift Certification. Safety and Personal Protective Equipment Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location. Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
