Description Pay Range: $17/hr - $21/hr Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick time, and PTO after 90 days Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Summary: Verifies and keeps records on all incoming and outgoing product. Organizes all product throughout the plant and prepares product for production and/or shipment Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Loads/Unloads product from company and customer vehicles Inspects incoming orders for damage and/or discrepancies by: Verifying piece counts, weights, and container type and quantity. Comparing results with bills of lading, incoming shippers, or other records. Contacts customers with discrepancies of piece count or weight count Records receipt of incoming product by entering jobs in computer and printing the work order. Moves incoming product into 'Green' storage area. Keeps the 'Green' storage area neat and organized Verifies piece counts, weights, and container type and quantity for outgoing shipments. Compares with State Heat Treat work order. Works with shift supervisor on discrepancies (complete or partial determination) Examines outgoing shipments to ensure documentation is complete and correct Bills jobs out of computer. Prints shipper, verifies accuracy, and forwards to appropriate driver. Sees that all documentation is forwarded to customer as required by job Keeps “all areas” neat and organized with each job in correct location for operator access and driver loading or customer pickup Readies jobs requiring shipment by UPS, Common Carrier, or other express shipping methods. This includes proper packaging, labeling, and paperwork Able to perform lab tests (as needed) to determine characteristics such as effective case depth, case hardness, etc. Keeps a clear, consistent record of results Create/review all certifications of compliance. Responsible for certificates being complete and correct. Maintains a retrievable file of copies Maintains quality system requirements regarding rejected material Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Maintains an inventory of all laboratory and inspection supplies. Orders replacement stock as needed through the Plant Manager Able and willing to train other employees in the requirements of this job Able and willing to train other employees to enhance own job performance Responsible for upkeep of work environment. Includes maintaining equipment such as scales, lab saw, etc Maintains an orderly and retrievable filing system of all shipping, receiving, and quality documentation Operates lift truck or uses hand truck safely Follows all written procedures and instructions in the performance of required tasks Requirements Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
