Adecco is currently hiring for a Shipping Clerk to join our client’s team in Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time, temporary opportunity within the logistics and administrative support sector. If you have experience in shipping operations, administrative coordination, and enjoy collaborating across departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and professional organization.

  • Salary: $19 - $22/hour depending on experience
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
  • Job Type: Full-time, temporary
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum 1 year of shipping experience
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping, including preparation of Commercial Invoices, B13s, and packing slips
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERs)
  • Previous clerical experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform administrative duties supporting shipping of finished goods
  • Communicate and coordinate with transportation companies
  • Handle routine questions and problems, maintaining communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle
  • Confirm accuracy of invoices, bills, and charges related to shipments
  • Log order information into the computer and file/distribute paperwork as needed
  • Maintain records and generate reports for accounting and other departments
  • Lift heavy items and operate a forklift when necessary
  • Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped
  • Package and box materials according to department procedures
  • General housekeeping and order fulfillment
  • Unpack and pack goods and materials
  • Complete Commercial Invoices and related customs documents
  • Act as point of contact for courier and customs inquiries
  • Support EMS sales and vertically integrated component-level sales in a team environment
  • Develop, analyze data, and manage complex Excel, PowerPoint, and Word document files
