We are currently seeking experienced and professional full-time candidates to join our team. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking shipping clerk who can operate a forklift and oversee the shipping department. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse or shipping environment and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities of this role include packaging and shipping packages (FedEx, UPS, LTL, Courier). This position is 9 am-5:30 pm with occasional weekend and overtime work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Operate a forklift to load and unload goods from trucks · Move items within the warehouse using a forklift · Wrap pallets using shrink wraps and straps to prepare them for shipping · Processing FedEx and UPS shipments · Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment · Keep track of inventory and ensure that all items are stored properly · Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed · Comply with all safety regulations and company policies Requirements Qualifications – Education, Experience, License/Certifications: · Minimum of 2 years experience in Shipping Receiving and Packaging materials · Basic Spreadsheet knowledge · Forklift operator experience · Packing and Shipping printed material is a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received. · Basic understanding of loading dock and warehouse procedures. · Good organizational skills and attention to detail. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Ship station experience is a plus. Physical Requirements: · Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods, including during an entire shift. · Strength: Ability to lift, carry, and move packages and materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Occasionally lift or move items exceeding 50 pounds with assistance or equipment. · Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers for operating forklifts, using shrink wrap tools, and handling shipping and packaging materials. · Visual Requirements: Ability to read and verify shipping labels, inventory documents, and computer screens. · Hearing and Communication: Ability to hear and respond to verbal instructions, alarms, and sounds in a warehouse environment. Effective verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and drivers. · Environmental Tolerance: Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving machinery. · Postural Activities: Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching to load or unload goods, wrap pallets, or organize inventory. · Coordination and Precision: Ability to safely operate forklifts and handle materials without damaging items or equipment. · Cognitive Requirements: Ability to maintain focus, follow safety protocols, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: The base compensation range for this full-time position is $21.00-23.00 per hour plus benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position.
