Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damage to inventory. The Shipping and Receiving Associate must be able to perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing transfers. Responsibilities: * Excellent computer skills: Outlook, Excel, and other Scheduling computer programs. * Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them, and distributing packages and letters within the company. * Ability to communicate & work well with internal associates, customers, brokers, & dealers. * Assist with the loading and unloading of large shipments. * Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers. * Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them. * Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems. * Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: * Previous experience in a shipping or receiving environment preferred. * Comfortable in a warehouse setting * Excellent organization and administrative skills, customer care/ service * Able to think analytically and problem-solve * Able to operate heavy machinery * Knowledge of OSHA requirements. * Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
