The Shipping Clerk will prepare documentation and perform all clerical functions to meet or exceed customer delivery expectations. Some locations require this position to package and ship products in a manner that meets or exceeds customer's delivery expectations. They are also responsible for checking to ensure orders are correctly completed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately identify, handle and prepare production orders for shipment. Understand HYDAC Quality Policy and Quality Objectives as related to this position. Post goods, issues deliveries, print packing lists, create bill of ladings and other paperwork associated with shipments. Assure product is packaged and labeled according to instructions/requirements. Process shipments using UPS, DHL, AIT, FEDEX and LTL, Hazmat, Hot shots, Etc shipments. Respond to emails in a timely manner. Clear communication skills written and verbal with internal and external departments, customers, services, Etc. Create and maintain (update) any new or existing work in a timely manner. Observe safety rules, housekeeping requirements and other company policies and work-rules. Operate mobile equipment including forklift and pallet jack. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Skills and Attributes Must have PIT equipment experience. Preferred shipping documentation prep experience Truck loading knowledge. MUST be willing/expected to work overtime on short notice. Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedures, government regulation, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment. Ability to understand and operate PC equipment running under Microsoft Windows Format. Requirements Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required or 1 to 3 months of related experience/training and/or an equivalent combination of both. HAZ-Mat Training. Fork Lift Certification.
