Description The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, organizing, and shipping outgoing orders accurately and on time. This role ensures products are properly packaged, labeled, documented, and delivered according to company standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and package outgoing shipments Verify orders for accuracy (items, quantities, and condition) Print and attach shipping labels and documentation Schedule pickups with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight, etc.) Load and unload shipments safely Track and record shipment details Maintain shipping logs and inventory records Inspect outgoing materials for damage Follow safety and company procedures Communicate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and carriers Resolve shipping issues and delays when needed Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous shipping/warehouse experience (preferred) Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to read packing slips and shipping documents Strong attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Work in a warehouse environment Work Schedule Full-time / Mon-Fri 9am to 5 pm May include overtime, weekends, or shifts Skills & Abilities Time management Organization Accuracy Reliability Problem-solving
