QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of experience operating a forklift
  • Valid Class G driver’s license
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset
  • Excellent attendance habits
  • Extremely reliable
  • Outstanding time management skills

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Shipping Clerk-Shipper/Receiver is responsible for picking, packing, and preparing stock or products for shipping and receiving parts or products and transporting them to the correct storage location within our facilities. This role is integral to our success and is perfect for an energetic and dedicated candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The shipping Clerk role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in inventory management, computerized ERP systems, and logistic coordination.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work safely and productively and report any safety issues
  • Coordinate both local and international shipments through several different transport companies, arranging for efficient delivery and pickup
  • Prepare various documentation such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
  • Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments either by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Compare shipment contents to pick sheet and packing slips/invoices to verify the accuracy of shipments
  • Scanning product moves into our ERP system
  • Using the company vehicle to move products from one facility to another on a daily basis
  • Perform cycle counts and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
  • Promote MPC’s core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
