Description Drape Kings, a Quest Events company, located in North Bergen, NJ is urgently seeking to hire a Shipping Clerk. The Shipping Clerk performs a variety of tasks related to product packing, shipping, and receiving while adhering to established procedures and standards. This role involves processing shipments, ensuring order accuracy, packing products, maintaining documentation, and assisting with inventory management. Responsibilities: Process inbound and outbound shipments, including sorting, logging, packing, and shipping. Conduct pre-packing audits to verify that received goods match order specifications. Properly pack and label products according to established standards. Ensure that correct equipment, manuals, and accessories accompany each order. Prepare shipping and receiving documentation and maintain organized documentation files. Assist in scheduling daily transportation arrangements. Handle all receiving transactions and inspect incoming freight for damage, following up on damaged freight issues with purchasing. Assist in maintaining adequate material inventory levels. Assist in tracing missing shipments as requested. Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within the shipping area. Perform necessary administrative tasks, including report preparation and correspondence. Complete other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Qualifications: One to two years of relevant experience or equivalent. Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail. Proven capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in understanding and following written and verbal instructions. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Occasionally required to lift, push, or carry items weighing more than 50 pounds.
