Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to manage both domestic and international shipments using our ERP system (X3). The Shipping Coordinator will ensure all shipments are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements. This position serves as the link between operations, logistics and customer service, helping to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods to the customer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for requesting freight quotes, scheduling shipments with carriers, preparing shipment paperwork, and processing DOD shipments through appropriate systems. This role ensures all outbound shipments meet customer specifications and comply with regulations such as ITAR and Dangerous Goods. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains excellent attendance, and demonstrates a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Flexibility is essential, as priorities may quickly shift. Responsibilities also include attending meetings, providing order status updates, proactively preparing documents to minimize risk, and following all shipping procedures and approval processes. Occasional truck loading may be required, and obtaining a fork truck license will be expected. This description is not all-encompassing; additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
