Learn more about what DSO will mean for you in your new role here https://www.bayer.com/en/strategy/strategy TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate and enable timely seed movement from Salama, Guatemala, to various global destinations, ensuring alignment with shipping priorities. • Maintain knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and documentation to ensure all shipments comply and prevent delays. • Act as a liaison among departments, particularly with R&D, to understand the importance of specific shipments for ongoing projects and ensure timely delivery of key seeds. • Evaluate historical data and trends to proactively adjust plans and maintain a supply chain aligned with current and future needs. • Implement strategies to enhance shipping efficiency, reduce last-minute requests, and develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of operations. • Work with operational teams to ensure adequate inventory for upcoming shipments. • Build relationships with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs agents to negotiate favorable shipping terms. • Ensure proper documentation of shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels, and archive records for compliance and audit purposes. • Identify potential shipping risks and develop plans to address issues that may impact delivery timelines or compliance. • Leverage Digital Solutions: Implement enterprise solutions for shipping strategies, ensuring the effective rollout of digital pipeline initiatives. WHO YOU ARE • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain roles, preferablywithin an agricultural or R&D setting. • Familiarity with international shipping regulations, compliance requirements, and customs procedures. • Ability to analyze shipping data and trends for informeddecision-making and process optimization. Advanced excel skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges and devise contingency plans for potential shipping delays. • High attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of shipping documentation and compliance. • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, inventory, and compliance. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving shipping needs in a dynamic environment. • Advanced English proficiency is essential (B2+/C1).
