Russell Taylor Group are recruiting an Experienced Shipping Coordinator to support our client’s logistics team in Bromborough.
This role is crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient shipment operations. If you have a solid background in freight coordination, supply chain logistics, and international shipping, we’d love to hear from you. There is potential for this temporary position to become a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange transportation.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Track shipments and handle any delays or issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all UK and international shipping regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics costs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to support seamless operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.

The candidate:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Shipping Coordinator or in a similar logistics role
  • Strong understanding of shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with freight forwarding and knowledge of import/export regulations.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems such as Warehouse Management Software and Microsoft Navision, along with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
