Friday: 9am-4pm

Responsibilities

SHIPPING ASSOCIATE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your main area of responsibility is preparing, packaging, and shipping goods sold. You will aid in various activities throughout the shipping process and production departments. Your responsibilities will be to ensure efficient, safe, and professional packaging, shipping, and receiving of various items. This position is categorized in 5 stages: Cupper, Picker, Strapper, Computer Operator, and Materials Handler. All shipping employees are cross trained in each of these shipping stations to ensure maximum productivity/awareness.

SHIPPING ASSOCIATE JOB DUTIES:

  • Prepare orders by processing requests; pulling materials; packing boxes.
  • Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs
  • Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Document any necessary updates to process and aid in inventory management
  • Work in other areas as appropriate to maintain knowledge and relationships necessary for efficient and effective operation.
  • Organize and catalogue large batches of similar items.
  • Pack and ship items securely and effectively to maximize space utilization.
  • Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment with freight carriers
  • Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure that incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are as secure and well-organized as possible.
