Description
As a Shipping Lead, you play a crucial role as a lead figure in the department, bridging information from supervisors and upper management to your team. Operating in larger departments and acting as a lead/delegator on the production floor, your focus is on ensuring product quality, meeting customer specifications, and consistently achieving efficiency and productivity targets. In addition to providing hands-on directions to associates, you coordinate tasks, demonstrate job instructions to new hires, and occasionally step in for Assistant Supervisors and Supervisors. 1st Shift Between: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Peak Schedule Varies) Pay Rate: $17.00 Duties and Responsibilities: * Monitor, guide, and motivate staff to perform at their best. * Demonstrate job instructions to new and temporary staff, adhering to departmental expectations when not performing these duties. * Evaluate incoming orders and set up the production line accordingly. * Collaborate and communicate within the department, extending communication to multiple departments within the organization. * Foster an environment of positive morale and high-performance expectations while working in a team setting. * Regroup associates within assigned areas to maximize team members' strengths. * Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members. * Identify and report/resolve production line problems promptly. * Maintain a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment. * Sorting & matching orders. * Packing & shipping orders. The expected salary range for this position is $17/hour. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law. Qualifications * Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency. * Interpersonal and communication skills. * Prioritization and organizational skills. * Competent in computers and office software. * Ability to multitask. * Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. * Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. * High school diploma or GED preferred. * Minimum of 1 year working in manufacturing. * Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. * English reading/speaking proficiency is Required.
