POSITION OVERVIEW

The Shipping Lead will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and transporting shipments, including making weekly trips across the U.S. border. This role requires strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills, shipping/warehouse experience, and the ability to manage cross-border logistics effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Valid Passport with ability to travel into the U.S. (must be eligible for cross-border travel).
  • 5+ years of shipping and warehouse experience.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and customs requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification an asset).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Effectively plan and assign the daily workload, ensuring all KPIs are achieved.
  • Prepare and process domestic and international shipments.
  • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation for all outgoing orders.
  • Drive across the U.S. border at least once weekly to complete shipments.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Proactively stay up to date on the latest shipping, customs, and tariff requirements, ensuring compliancy.
  • Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with customs and border requirements.
