Description The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily Third Party Order processing and personnel, including preparing product for shipping via UPS, Fed Ex, LTL, and occasionally our own Meyer Logistics trucks. Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Pay based on Experience Shipping Lead requirements include but are not limited to: Ability to give special attention to detail required. Must have ability to identify letters and numbers Must be comfortable with computer to complete basic functions Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, and responds to management direction Must have ability to orally communicate with co-workers, supervisors and other employees Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance Benefits for Shipping Lead: Medical Vision Dental Disability Life Insurance 401K with Company Match Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Personal Days Available Employee Discount Casual Dress Code Health Savings Account Tuition Reimbursement Options Available Shipping Lead duties include but are not limited to: Oversee and manage Shipping Processors Pull and process Third Party Orders Scans product using handheld scanners Verifies and prints correct labeling Places packing slips on product packages or on box Uses banding equipment on product if needed Stages product for shipping in proper location for UPS/Fed Ex/LTL/truck shipments Keeps warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times Wears protective toed shoes and works in a safe manner at all times All other duties as assigned
