Description Job Summary: The Shipping Department is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely preparation, packaging, documentation, and dispatch of outgoing shipments. Team members ensure that all outgoing goods meet company standards and customer requirements while complying with safety regulations and shipping procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and package orders according to company and customer specifications. Create and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and other documentation. Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, proper packaging, and labeling. Maintain records of all shipments and update inventory systems accordingly. Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified). Ensure shipping area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols. Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload. Knowledge of shipping regulations and safety procedures. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role preferred. Basic computer skills (email, inventory systems, spreadsheets). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Forklift certification (if applicable).
