JOB DESCRIPTION:

Logistics Coordinator’s main responsibilities include acting as a conduit between the Hiring Employer and Ford Motor Company representatives, as it pertains to coordinating the receiving of shipments of supplies or equipment (ie general supplies, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/piping, etc) for the active on-site project. Duties to include the following:

  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record-keeping purposes
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, PO’s, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials in facility
  • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
  • Deliver or route materials to necessary departments
  • Paperwork to maintain inventory of stock

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field Five (5) years experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination is highly desirable, and preferably in an I industrial / Manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and industry compliance standards
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, schedules, and deadlines efficiently
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot supply chain issues and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
  • Strong focus on accuracy in tracking shipments, processing documentation, and managing logistics data
  • Must have a valid/clean drivers abstract
