Description
Responsible for the workforce, safety, and 5S+ levels assigned to the area. Prepare daily shipping schedules based on available capacity and demand. Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to reduce operational costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Ensure the proper application and interpretation of established personnel and safety policies throughout the department. Responsible for managing team members, employment decisions and performance assessments for the department. Bachelors Degree from Accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment Able and willing to work 2nd shift on an as needed/periodic basis, and flexible for rotating weekends if needed 4 or more years experience in a supervisory or management role Position Criteria. Progressive experience in manufacturing operations involving machining and mechanical assembly activities. Experiential evidence of the ability to achieve positive organizational cultural change. Demonstrated ability to leverage cross-functional resources to support manufacturing requirements. Superb problem-solving skills and the ability to teach. The ability to work in teams and communication skills. This ideal candidate will be detailed, analytical, and results oriented. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, motivate, coach and train people in varying production disciplines to achieve improved overall performance. Ability to stand for long period of time Ability to reach, grasp, manipulate and lift up to 50 lbs alone Proficiency with MS Office
