POSITION OVERVIEW:

Homestyle Direct (HSD) is a rapidly growing Food-as-Medicine home-delivered meal provider serving Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries across the country. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Twin Falls, ID, HSD shipped over 6 million meals in 2023 and is projected to exceed $50M in revenue in 2024. With plans to open a second fulfillment facility in the Southeastern U.S., HSD is entering a transformative phase and seeking top-tier leadership to support continued growth.
We are seeking a Shipping Manager to lead our warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring excellence in order fulfillment, employee performance, process optimization, and safety compliance. This role is critical in delivering on HSD’s mission to provide timely, high-quality meals to vulnerable populations nationwide.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse/fulfillment management in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of 10+ employees in shift-based or multi-shift operations.
  • Strong understanding of fulfillment systems, inventory control, shipping documentation, and ERP/WMS software.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with food handling, health and safety, or USDA/FDA regulatory requirements a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word; knowledge of data entry and reporting systems.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all fulfillment operations including picking, packing, labeling, loading, and shipping of home-delivered meals to members.
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of warehouse staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Manage and optimize daily inbound and outbound truck logistics with plant staff, including scheduling, dock operations, and inventory flow.
  • Ensure accuracy of orders, shipping documentation, inventory transactions, and compliance with FDA food handling regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, including Bills of Lading, inventory logs, and fulfillment reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service) to resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor and report warehouse performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain facility standards including cleanliness, equipment functionality, and compliance with OSHA and food safety protocols.
  • Support scaling initiatives, including system enhancements, workforce planning, and potential facility expansions.
  • Manage inventory control processes including ordering, replenishment, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and inspections of warehouse grounds, equipment, and fleet vehicles.
