Description
Responsible for picking orders, staging, loading and/or unloading material from trucks and/or other departments in order to keep flow of product smooth and efficient. Move material in a safe manner and dispose of scrap. Operate forklifts. Store, space and deliver materials or products. Stack pallets and arrange materials. You may be required to palletize and secure material as needed. Use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist). Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. May utilize the spotter truck to move flatbed and dry van trailers around the yard and in and out of the dock doors, as needed or required. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Valid Driver's License No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered Strong product knowledge. Forklift experience both stand up and sit down. Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬ Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
