Job Overview: The Shipping-Receiving Clerk is a key member of the RectorSeal Distribution Center team, supporting both shipping and receiving operations. In shipping, the role focuses on accurately picking and preparing orders for shipment. In receiving, the Clerk is responsible for inspecting incoming inventory, offloading shipments, and putting away products into the correct storage locations. This position requires operating warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently. This is an on-site, hourly position, with additional hours available during peak periods and year-end to support business needs. RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries. Key Responsibilities: * Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. * Accurately pick, process, and handle merchandise for shipping and receiving. * Receive, inspect, and put away incoming inventory in the correct storage locations. * Operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently. * Work quickly and efficiently to support freight handling and overall warehouse operations. * Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area. * Identify issues, suggest improvements, and support continuous process improvement. * Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude. * Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow as a team member. * Be available for additional hours or overtime as business needs require. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s goals. Minimum Requirements: * High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. * Must be able to operate a forklift. * Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 35-50 lbs. Preferred Requirements: * Certification in the operation of a forklift truck is not necessary but would be considered a plus. * Warehouse work experience is a plus. Skills/Competencies: * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Basic computer skills to function in job role. * Must have very high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skills. * Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus. Compensation: RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The range for this hourly position is: $17.50 - $21.00/hr plus incentives. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
